Cover Reveal - Passion by Lauren Kate

Have you seen the cover for Passion by Lauren Kate yet?  Isn't it gorgeous?  Although I love the covers for Fallen & Torment I have to confess I think this one is my favorite in the series so far!  This is the US version of the cover but RHCB have confirmed that the UK cover will be very similar (there will be some wording changes but the picture will be the same yay!).  I checked the release date on Amazon UK & it says 16th June 2011 (I'm not sure if that is for the US or the UK version though) so not too much longer to wait now.  I know I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy!

I've included the covers for Fallen & Torment too, which of the three covers is your favorite?

Walker Undercover Reads & Long Reach Book Trailer

Last November I was lucky enough to be invited to attend Walker's blogger event where they told us all about their new Undercover Reads campaign and some of the exciting new books they will be releasing this year. You can read my event report here for more information about the titles we were given a sneak preview of & I have to say I'm really excited about all of them!

Today I had an email from Walker saying they have launched their new Undercover Reads website where they will be posting all of the latest information about the books and their authors. Every month a new title will be spotlighted and they have a really exciting range of different books - something for everyone no matter what your tastes are.  If you want to be kept up to date about these fab books you really should head on over & check out the blog.

The first Undercover Reads title is Long Reach by Peter Cocks, this is Peter's debut solo novel but he also co-wrote the Triskellion Trilogy with Mark BillinghamLong Reach is the first book in a new YA crime thriller series set in the London East End and starring character Eddie Savage as he goes undercover with a London gang trying to discover how his brother died.  We got to see a preview of the book trailer at the Walker event but I'm really excited to be able to share the finished version of the trailer with you now:

I absolutely love the trailer - it looks more like an advert for a new TV series than a book trailer don't you think?  Long Reach was actually released in the UK on the 3rd of January so you should be able to find a copy in your local shops now.  I'm actually just about to start reading my copy so I'll be posting my review in the next couple of weeks.

News: Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles Blog Tour

If any of you read my review of Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles earlier this year (click here if you want to read it now) you'll know what a massive crush I have on the main character Alex Fuentes.  I was very excited to find out that it was the first book in a trilogy and that we would be getting to read both of his brother's stories.  On the 6th January the second book in the series is releasing in the UK and I was absolutely over the moon when I was offered a review copy and a chance to join the UK blog tour.  I've already read Rules of Attraction and let me just say the second Fuentes brother Carlos has stolen my heart away from Alex - I really didn't think that would be possible!

You're going to have to wait until the 15th of January to read my review so all I'm going to say now is that I loved it even more than Perfect Chemistry!  I'll also be posting an extract from Rules of Attraction for you to read, believe me you want to make sure you check back then.  Simon & Schuster have got a great tour lined up including fab guest posts from Simone so make sure you check out all of the tour stops.  I've included links to each of the blogs below to make it easier for you.

News: The Atomics

A couple of weeks ago when I attended the Atom blogger party they mentioned a fantastic new program they are introducing to encourage the next generation of bloggers.  The scheme is aimed at 12 to 18 year olds and will offer members free advanced copies of some of their new releases.  They have set up a whole section on their website where participants will be able to post reviews and chat about books.  Sounds great doesn't it?  Makes me wish I was under 18 so I could take part!

Here is the full information from the Atom press release:

Atom, the young adult fiction imprint of Little, Brown, is delighted to announce the creation of The Atomics – a brand new young reviewers programme for readers aged twelve to eighteen.

Atom has been busy expanding their list to include a wide-range of young adult titles, including mystery, adventure and humour alongside their more well-known paranormal series. And now they want to share it with everyone else!

Anyone who joins The Atomics will get the chance to receive pre-publication copies of new titles to review. The reviewers for each month will have their reviews posted in a new, dedicated section of the Atom website where they can be seen and commented on by anyone else who is interested in Atom’s books.

Atom is committed to making sure that every Atomic will get the opportunity to review a title they like the sound of, but hope that many more people will join in the conversation!

The intention of The Atomics is to provide a safe, dedicated space for under-eighteens to discuss books and hone their review skills, as well as giving our fans the chance to read books before they’re published!

UK YA Blogger Meet Up

Jo over at Once Upon A Bookcase is currently trying to arrange a meet up for UK YA Bloggers in and around London.  The meet up is aimed at bloggers who review YA books but your blog doesn't have to be just YA (well I hope it doesn't because mine is a mix of YA & adult LOL).  Anyone is welcome so if you're in the UK & prepared to travel to London it would be great to see you there (anyone under 18 will need to come with an adult for your safety).  There has even been some interest from YA authors who would like to come too.

Jo is currently trying to get an idea of numbers before a date & location can be decided on so if you're interested in attending please check out Jo's post and contact her as soon as you can.  I'm really looking forward to this & think it will be great fun to get to meet some of the other UK Bloggers out there!

International Book Tours

Great news for bloggers like me who are outside the US & Canada.  Reggie from The Undercover Book Lover and her sister The Bookologist have launched a new blog International Book Tours.
I've seen a lot of posts about book tours since I started my blog but this is the first site I've seen that is open to international bloggers.  If you sign up for one of the tours you agree to send the book on to another international blogger when you have read it.  Obviously postage may be expensive but this is a great opportunity to get to review ARCs that you wouldn't normally get a chance to read.

There is loads of information about how it all works on the International Book Tours blog.  Don't forget you need to Sign Up before you can join a tour.

There are already 3 tours you can sign up for:

If you're an international blogger like me have a look & see if you want to sign up.  I've registered & am really looking forward to taking part in this!
