I knew it wouldn't be long before I signed up for another challenge LOL.  I couldn't resist joining the Summer Romance Challenge hosted by Book Chick City.  Here are the challenge details in case anyone else wants to sign up:

1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.

2. 4 months, 8 books - that's doable, right? Or if you want to push yourself further double it to 16!!

3. Any book format counts

5. The books you choose can crossover into other challenges you have on the go.

NAC Mini-Challenge - Battle Royale (April 2010)

Time for the details of the challenge:
1.You do not have to be a participant of the New Authors Challenge, but if you’re not, why not?

2.The Challenge will run from April 1st through the 30th. All reviews must have an April 2010 date.

3.The goal is to read up to 5 different authors from the either list below. Write up a review on your blog and then come back to the official start post and add your link to Mr. Linky.

4.The idea is to try a new author (it is a New Author mini-challenge), however, if you’ve already read all of the listed authors, you can still participant, but don’t re-read a novel. Try something new. Not only is this an excuse to try a certain group of authors, but it’s also a great chance to help promote them.
 
Deadline Dames include: Keri Arthur, Toni Andrews, Jenna Black, Rinda Elliot, Jackie Kesslar, Karen Mahoney, Devon Monk, Lilith Saintcrow and Rachel Vincent.

Fangs, Fur & Fey has an overwhelming number of authors who contribute, so I am limiting your choices a little. Some of the authors from FF&F are also Deadline Dames, so they’ve been removed from this group. Some of the authors are also from the League of Reluctant Adults and since they were our featured group in February, I’m nixing them as well (sorry guys!). New Author Challenge 2010

The New Author Challenge 2010 is hosted by Jackie at Literary Escapism.  I'm a bit late signing up for this challenge but I've been enjoying trying a lot of different authors this year so I thought it would be fun to sign up & see how many new authors I actually manage to discover this year!  Here are the details in case you want to join me:

1. The challenge will run from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010.

2. Since this is an author challenge, there is no restriction on choosing your novels. They can definitely be from other challenges. However, the authors must be new to you and, preferably from novels. Anthologies are a great way to try someone new, but only a third of your new authors can be from anthologies.

3. I want this to be an easy challenge, so you can pick to do either 15, 25 or 50 new authors. It all depends on how fast you read and how adventurous you want to be. For me, I’m trying another 50 new authors. If you reach your goal halfway through the year, don’t stop. Any new author you try can be added to Mr. Linky. We all want to know about your new experience.

4. After reading your new author, write your review and then go here to add your link to Mr. Linky

5. Bloggers or Non-Bloggers alike are welcome

Once you reach your goal, you don’t have to stop. Any new author you try, go ahead and head back here and add it to the list. Introduce us all to whoever you find. Afterall, there’s no reason to stop trying new authors, right?

I can't believe I tried 104 new authors this year!  I made some amazing discoveries - many have been added to my favorite authors list who are going to be automatic buys for anything they release in the future.  I wonder how many new authors I'll try in 2011?

Thriller & Suspense Challenge 2010

This challenge is hosted by Book Chick City.  As I'm getting on so well with my challenges I wanted to sign up for something that will get me out of my comfort zone a little bit.  I used to read a lot of Thrillers but this is a genre I've moved away from in the last couple of years & I'd like to get back into it again.  Hopefully knowing I'm taking part in the challenge will encourage me to get back into Thrillers!

Paranormal Reading Challenge 2010

OK so I know I REALLY shouldn't be signing up for yet another reading challenge but how can I resist this one when I read sooooo many paranormal books?  I tried but I just couldn't do it so here goes!  This one is being hosted by Storywings & here are the details for anyone who wants to join me:

1. The Paranormal Reading Challenge is for anyone who loves reading ANYTHING paranormal!!!
- Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Ghosts, Angels etc...so the scope is pretty big!!!
- The books can be any sub genre under Paranormal - romance, YA, mystery, etc.

2. The book has to be a book. No free short stories, or writing sites.

3. If you are a blogger please post a link back to this challenge on your page to let others join in the fun. -Non-bloggers - it's ok, you can join to and you can keep track of your progress by yourself, and post a comment on the wrap-up page, or you can send comments to this page to keep track of your progress.

Awesome Author Challenge 2010

This challenge is being run by Alyce from At Home With Books.  The idea behind this challenge is to read works by authors who have been recommended to you time and again, but you haven't gotten around to reading them yet. These are the authors that everyone else tells you are awesome, thus the "Awesome Author Challenge" title.

The Rules:
1. The challenge starts January 1, 2010 and ends December 31, 2010.
2. Crossover from other challenges is allowed.
3. Choose the level at which you would like to participate, post about it and sign up here
4. Titles and authors do not have to be predetermined, and can change at any time.
5. Books can come from any genre or reading level, the only requirement is that you have heard great things about the author, but haven't yet read any of their works.

The Levels:
Easy: Choose three authors and read at least one title from each author.
Moderate: Choose six authors and read at least one title from each author.
Challenging: Choose ten authors and read at least one title from each author.
Over-Achieving: Anything over ten authors.

I'm actually going to aim for the Over-Achieving level as there are so many great authors that have been recommended to me & I want to try to start reading some of their books.  I'm going to aim for 20 books but may change this later in the year depending on how I get on!  I'll post links to my reviews below.
